Taste and See His Goodness

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to stop and read the entire chapter of Psalm 34. Isn’t it so good? It is full of reminders of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and love for us. I don’t know about you, but this chapter gets me so fired up because, throughout it all, God reminds us that we don’t have to worry or fear. As long as we trust Him and take refuge in Him, we will radiate with joy.

This verse has been speaking to me in so many ways lately. God has shown me His goodness in my quiet time with Him, as a wife, a mom being pulled in different directions, at work juggling countless tasks, and as a daughter, sister, and friend. As women, we carry so much. But Psalm 34:8 reminds us that there is joy waiting for us when we take refuge in Him. That may look like stepping outside for five quiet minutes to breathe and ask Him to fill you with His strength. It may mean closing the door, falling to your knees, and crying out to Him. Whatever it looks like for you, He is inviting you to come under His wings because you were never meant to carry life’s responsibilities in your own strength.

We have a Heavenly Father who sees us, loves us, and desires to walk with us every step of the way. Friend, let Psalm 34 become an anthem for your everyday life. Taste and see His goodness, trust in His faithfulness, and find your refuge in Him.

I encourage you to read through Psalm 34 again. Highlight the verse—or verses—that stand out to you and spend time meditating on them day and night. Write them somewhere you’ll see them every day so you can be reminded of God’s truth. When troubles or frustrations come, pause, read those verses, praise the Lord, and thank Him for strengthening you and carrying you through.
